Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duty

Ships sailing under the International Ships and Ports Security code should have a Ship Security Officer who is responsible of the ship security directly to her Master.

A modern panamax or post panamax ship represents a very tempting target potentially worth of hundreds of millions of dollars. In this case the SSO is generally supported by members of the crew with a security training.

This team of seafarers could eventually work closely with an Armed Ship Protection Team deployed aboard in case of sailing through a High Risk Area or with a sensitive cargo.

The training course follows the official IMO regulation and is based on the IMO official training model course with enhancements provided by our Ship Security Experts.
