Since january 2017 it is mandatory for ALL seafarers to have followed a security awareness training. This training follows the International Maritime Organisation model course of 2012 and is updated with Manannan database about Maritime Security on a regular basis.
Manannan Consulting set up several groups training session yearly in our training centers or at its partners own offices. This awareness training can also be followed online at sea if the seafarer has access to a computer and a reliable internet access
This awareness training is likely to be completed with drills and other security and safety features to comply with the ship crew training standard (STCW) under the responsability of the Ship Security Officer.
